The project is no longer receiving update since 2 years ago, @HackingDave could you please confirm that this project is no longer actively maintained?
There are lots of python issues that have crept up and also the setup.py is far from being pythonic friendly, there is pyproject.toml, also a few PR are trying to fix a few things, but they were never merged, see https://github.com/trustedsec/social-engineer-toolkit/pull/957
