I have a project underway on a Raspberry Pi and would love to locally host a web-ui for trustwallet. How, i'm keen to do this ASAP

vikmeup commented 6 years ago

@unclehowell that's pretty cool, can I see how it looks?

What do you have in mind for web-ui? as a wallet or https://dapps.trustwalletapp.com ?

I have this method for making internet free. I'm moving it all to GitHub now, its called WaveOS. Its linux on the pi and the proof of concept is built on DietPi. Because those guys just continuously mash out all the major bugs with the major apps, which makes my work easier. Michael Moritz advised me on what I've been working on, and I trust his advice. He says give our users a tonn of stuff they can enjoy, then work on deploying the free internet solution I devised. The end result is this. https://evr-solar.com/product/wave-hotspot/ - I am now hoping to introduce the crypto currency aspect. I've tried trustwallet, so have my community, we love it and want to adopt it. But I want to host it on the pi and give the users a similar ui to the mobile app. How do we go about that?

Kyberwallet would do the job yes?

vikmeup commented 6 years ago

@unclehowell I think for now mobile wallet will make the most case, much safer and easier to use.

What's exactly do you have in mind for educating users? just having a wallet or sending them specific tokens?

unclehowell commented 6 years ago

i'd like to remunerate users with tokens (Surf Coins) which they can use to pay the ISP's, electricity companies and purchase IoT upsell products and services.

vikmeup commented 6 years ago

Can you add a token image to your ERC20 contract in here: https://github.com/TrustWallet/tokens ? it will show up nicely in the app.

I think it might be just ok to have wallet on your mobile phone to pay bills, you might wanna look int developing dApp for it tho.

Thanks for the feedback. My goal with my product remains, to use apps that have moved from mobile devices and the internet and now reside on local hosting solutions like Rpi. I'm going to give Kyber wallet a go since this looks promising
