Oof! Now I know why nobody recommended using electron... Right now I am full of exams til february but after that I will fix this :)
And when I say fix I mean change the framework again haha. I wrote a quickdemo in the first framework (nw.js) your guide suggested but, at least in mac, I could not transport the window above other fullscreen apps. Nonetheless it transported the window to any workspace I moved to. I need to see if it's the same for ubuntu. If it transports this over fullscreen in ubuntu this will be fairly easy to port :)
Thanks again for pointing this out! I hope you can still enjoy it until I fix the performance issue!

Good luck and happy breathing :)
BTW, neutralino.js looks very promising for your use case, especially considering this.
Just wanted to ask if you're still interested to port this to a more resource-friendly framework?
Hey! I can't believe your timing haha, just finished exams. Did you put it in your calendar or something? 🥇 I will have a look at this, this week :)
Hehe, just intuition, my friend :)
I hope you've done well with your exams!
Hey!
Are you still planning to improve this app?
Hey I am so sorry, I have been very busy. I hope I get to do it someday but I do not have any time in the near future :( Sorry again.
When this app is running a whole working day, around 8-10 hours, then it uses around 1GB of RAM, whereas after launching it "only" needs around 35-40MB of RAM. IMHO, the latter is also too much for such a simple app, but I get the convenience of building an electron app.
Anyway, I'm very thankful having this app, but if you decide to tweak it performance wise, then this guide could be a start.
Keep up the good work!
