So sorry you're dealing with this. Software is legit - we're waiting on notarization from windows.
I'll look into this.
I will try to do a reinstall today without VS Code setting and extension importing and see if it makes a difference.
Re-installed PearAI after removing the .pearai
folder and renaming .vscode
to .vcode.bak
. Everything is working, except there is a bug where PearAI keeps trying to sync/import VS Code settings and extensions every time I open it. I reported it through Discord and an issue was raise: https://discordapp.com/channels/1237009981803462729/1286329739916607570
Thank you @Himanshu-Singh-Chauhan - You can now probably close this ticket. I am guessing it is the automatic importing of VS Code settings/extensions that was causing the issue.
Describe the bug
Installed PearAI and it automatically starts trying to sync all settings and extensions from VS Code (this is a horrible feature and should not be by default). I waited for about an hour to make sure everything was processed.
The chat side panel opens when first launched, but it's blank. The chat window never loads. I tried to login to PearAI by using the command pallet, but nothing ever opens. I can't find a way to login. Links won't open. Settings won't open. Autocomplete doesn't work. Keybindings for AI do nothing.
I uninstalled, then re-installed and had the same issue.
How to reproduce
Installed PearAI
Expected behavior
The ability to login and use PearAI
Screenshots
Additional information
Using Windows 10. VS Code and Cursor work fine.
It appears that none of the links in the help section work. This application acts more like malware, or something. Right when it opens it says it is syncing the vs code settings and extensions every time the application loads. If I try to check for updates, or anything, there is a 404 error. I am hoping this software is legit. It is actually very concerning.
