Will look into this. Strange that I never noticed this before.
I assume this doesn't actually make dnf
fail?

No it's just a warning. Prior to the latest update of dnf it would have only been printed with dnf --verbose update
. Ref [1] suggests that the option itself has not been used for a while with dnf (if ever).
These packages are now officially deprecated, as I will not be building any DEB and RPM packages going forward. I am currently still hosting the existing ones, but I expect to take these down in the not too distant future.
The repo configuration from
http://lvserver.ugent.be/yum/xmi-repo-key-fedora.noarch.rpm
still includes thefailovermethod
option, which apparently has not been used for quite a while [1].As of today I am getting
with every
dnf upgrade
, which seems to be related to an increased verbosity with the latest dnf release [2]. I am running Fedora 34.[1] https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1653831 [2] https://dnf.readthedocs.io/en/latest/release_notes.html#release-notes
