Follow the standard naming convention of Ruby #18

Hi Takahiro,

It looks like the autorename option to swig has a bigger impact than I expected. If I would accept this pull request, I would basically have to include these new function names for the Ruby bindings, everywhere in the API section of the manual, which would screw up the uniformity. Also, I may end up getting requests from people asking me to make the bindings for their favorite language more native looking...

I put quite some thought into this, and I apologize for encouraging you to do this work, but I cannot include these commits into the repository.
