return 0 if error PM3_auger... PM4_auger... #226

I believe these changes fix issue 224

Thanks for opening the PR. Unfortunately with CI being in a very sad state, I cannot simply merge this in as I need to fix that first.

I do not have time to do that right now though as there's a lot of things going on in my life at the moment (I also have covid 😢 ).

So don't expect me working on this anytime soon, but I certainly won't forget about it.
