Perl v.5.26.0 vs v.5.24.0? #279

Hi @tseemann, our system has Perl v.5.24.0 and it presents a conflict to others to upgrade to v5.26.0. Is v.5.26.0 necessary for Nullarbor to run properly, or can we change the hard-coded version to v.5.24.0?
