KEGG is no longer a free service, it requires a $$$ subscription. Uniprot does come with KO assignments, but that's only a fraction of the bacterial proteins out there. So the annotation would be 30% with KO, the rest without...
Unless you are aware of a KO database I can freely access and use?
I noticed there is cross reference of UniProt. I am trying to asscociate the prokka annotion to KOs with EC and gene information, yeah..they are not like 1:1 match. That's why I assume that you have the original data and can associate it back to uniq KOs. KOs database I am using is from KEGG, it's a link infor between KO and EC number.
Hi Torsten,
Is it possible to include KOs in the output as well?
Thank you, Jie
