Controlled Doc Training (Read/Understand)

After a demo today, a business user asked if there was any functionality to send off an approved/effective document in order to verify that a selected group or variety of users has read and understands the document's content. This would be similar to the review workflow's process, but instead with a document that has already been approved. This is currently a potential enhancement for that client's Phase II, but may also be worthwhile for considering to go in the core product.

The business scenario:

• A document or documents is approved
• A supervisor needs to ensure 20 managers have read and understand the SOP, so the managers need a way to indicate that they have read and understand the SOP. The system should keep track of the managers that have done so and audit the results.

Some of our clients have separate training systems they use for this functionality. I could definitely see building a more lightweight version of it into HPI, though...
