View Versions Shortcuts (to version label documents) #952

In certain client scenarios with many documents, it may make it a lot easier to expose "shortcut buttons" on the view versions page. The example scenario where this would be useful:

A controlled document chain with dozens of versions, where there exists a version 12.0 CURRENT and a version 12.6 LATEST.

Expose buttons at the top of the View Versions list that say "Take me to the CURRENT version" and "Take me to the LATEST version".

Other related ideas? Would this be useful?

We'd obviously want the buttons to be security aware - i.e. don't show the "Take me to LATEST" button for a user that doesn't have access to anything but the Effective version.

Under the out of the box security and versioning, I think this could be useful for document authors and admins, but would be largely superfluous for 90% of the user community - doc consumers that only care about the current Effective version. Obviously if a client changes the out of the box security settings, this feature would be more useful to a wider audience.
