Need to evaluate this issue from Salesforce support case
00362552. It sounds like the functionality was working as of AEV 3.0, but not in AEV 3.3. May be difficult to trouble shoot this issue without customer assistance...Details from case:
After download pdf file using "offline Annotate PDF" function and open it. The text inside note has been display incorrectly which the Japanese words is change to Chinese one. there are 2 Japanese words which we find out that facing this issue. The rest is fine. The problematic words(characters) are followings. 1) 医師 2) 工夫 This issue occurred in the Ver. 3.3.7117. We also test in the Ver. 3.0.5906 and the problem is resolve. Note that: When we using export summery to excel, the note is display correctly. The annotation viewed by AEV is no problem as below.
