show the server in the public server list? #34

is it possible to make it so the umurmur server shows up in the public server 
list on mumble? this would make it very helpful in having friends find the 
server. thanks!

Really sorry for being unresponsive, but I have actually given this suggestion 
some serious thought and research. I have come to the conclusion that I won't 
include it in uMurmur. The API to the server list host is in XML and I don't 
want to include a XML-library. Initiating a connection to another host, as 
opposed to being purely a server software as it is now, would require quite a 
lot of structural changes. It would be a better solution to implement this as a 
script in Python for example which is started alongside the uMurmur daemon. 
This would require some sort of interface to retrieve info such as the amount 
of users etc from umurmur which isn't available currently. We'll see if it 
comes along in the future but I wouldn't hold my breath...

no worries, i appreciate your consideration.  i guess i can consider it a 
security through obscurity :) thanks again for for a absolutely wonderful 
product. my friends and i use it every day, and my server has been up for 253 
days straight and still going strong. many thanks.
