@nokturnihs hey mate! So I am starting to spawn this baby. It has some trouble with the seat and landing gear though: 1) Seat: could you link the seat to the yoke? This is the new procedure for moving seat and npcs. 2) Landing gear: Yoke must be link to the hotkey. Hotkey must be in switch mode, ON is landing gear deployed, OFF is landing gear retracted. Will look at it and make the fix - however let me know when you've decided one way or another whether these engines and reactors will require refueling - I'd rather make "repairs" to my builds once. That's also why I haven't fixed the bottom hatch either.
okay fair enough, I will have to remove it for the time being though as the npc pilot is floating outside the ship which looks silly unfortunately.
Ok so have looked at it:
The landing Gear - it MUST be in switch mode? If so can you please change the landing gear logic to pass the on/off state in that mode to a regular switch?
Hooked up the chair - looks like it automatically engages the ship piloting regardless of it's position? if that's the case can we get the chairs to send an ON signal to a switch when you enter the seat and an OFF signal when you leave it (To facilitate the chair moving into the appropriate position and out when you're done piloting the ship) - Maybe that's something that already works and you just need to tell me how to hook it up properly?
Also just to check - the trapdoor for the exit lift - won't behave as I have it now?
Main reason on the chair swivel thing is it's disorienting for players and the NPC's are gonna look weird staring at the backs of ships.
On the landing gear - it gives us the ability to use manual switches for immersion since we can't link a switch/button TO a hotkey logic block to activate it.
Okay I see, yes it is a valid request for switch, I revert the switch behaviour for that. For the seat if you could just save the blueprint with the seat pointing forward that would be great.
To get clarification on the switch comment - you going to allow the NPC to use the landing gear in switch or push or allow switches/buttons to connect to hotkeys?
Also, think on the chair as a button thing. Could be useful on things like switching a turret from AI control to gunner control and other fanciness like turning on/off lights or handling things like canopy open/control.
I will allow hotkey -> switch -> landing gear, seems the more logical.
So I fixed the ship, set the landing gear to push and set it up as it was with the addition that the wings/fins will now deploy/retract automatically with the landing gear to make NPC's taking off and landing add that little flair. Players still have an override for them for immersion.
I linked the seat and set it in the forward position. I wasn't sure if you wanted it in the raised state (flight visibility) or the casual mode (lowered) flight area. I exported it with the seat raised. Gonna get you the BP in just a few but these NPC's gonna do more than look pretty in the cockpit?

I think this will need to totally be rebuilt and resubmitted because I no longer have the blueprint and It was made well before the fuel/inventory system.
