Misteropie posted this great interior build, but noticed that the central console's control is just the circle stickers. 7l6PEZF

Would it be possible to get a 2x1 sticker the shape of a keyboard? Something like below but without the letters on the keys. Also not a mac design because macs suck

I see indeed, but tbh I would prefer if it would be real block, it would make more "sense"... Cheers

ZachZent commented 4 years ago

That would be even better!

WILDCATreactor commented 4 years ago

since you want it be a legit block, Tsuna ...what if... it worked like a control yoke, but with multiple keybind slots (at least like 10 or so?) built in?

i think having it actually being a "keyboard" would be better. as in multiple buttons on a single panel or some form of text input interface. could be an interesting immersive way to handle player-player coms. need a "telephone" for voice and need a keyboard for text. could also have it be able to connect to a sequencer and serve as a "text match" check. same principle could be added to the currently decorative keypad except it can only do numbers. activating brings up a sort of text field and keyboard/keypad graphic. the player can then use standard keystrokes or use the on screen keyboard with the mouse. not as immersive as having to look at and activate each key but far more practical and less frustrating. the biggest issue with this is it would be limited to a single (or select few) keyboard layouts and so localisation would be extra challenging.

a fully bound keyboard interface would be neat, definitely the ideal, a point-and-click keyboard would be slightly better than a purely decorative block yet also worse in many regards
