9 months ago Hi, thanks for reporting this, if you could give me your player save if you hopefully still have it. Btw I am teleporting the ship at periphery of the system, except with a very high speed. It is a bit hard to calibrate, it seems there is still much work to do... Thanks
Short Description of the issue:
After warping to and arriving in a system, a gas giant was between me and the star. Despite functionally arriving, the warp drive did not stop, as in it's opinion, "I wasn't there yet." I slo-mo warp flew into the gas giant's atmosphere, which destroyed the ship and killed the character.
Warping to a system should drop you at the periphery of the system. Let us use our lightcruise engines. We should never be at risk of dying based on the odds of entering one of thousands of systems with an obstruction in our way.
