[BUG] Curved blocks have wonky hitboxes #5322

yes this is just a repeat of #5230 sorry

image curved hollow blocks have weird placement issues, the individual ones work but when stretched or at a higher scale they "clip"

image cubes don't work at all

image image wedges and arches need a significant gap limiting their use

image can't make things flush, I would like to either for a rounded blast door or since we don't have rounded decals yet it could be a neat way to do something similar in the meantime

image this issue seems to only apply to the insides of some the curved blocks

Starship EVO 10_30_2023 3_38_17 PM I recently started building with these curved blocks a lot recently but it wasn't until i started building these smaller robots (3m tall ish) that i noticed the issues with the hitboxes, I would love it if they could be improved so that we can build more complex and interesting round ships/building/whatever, also while im here would it be possible to add some sort of hollow arch block but with the tip cut off?

I encountered this too! I was able to partly bypass this by clipping, but thats not a satisfying "solution" It seems when the brick is streched, that the center point-of-origin is the main "collision" box.

I hadn't noticed the mirroring bug, great spot! To turn this into a bit of a megathread for the rounded bricks, there are also these issues -

5022 - Rounded Arch/Arch Corners are locked to a 1x1 stretch ratio

5272 - Blocks with round faces in general missed out on the improvements made in #5228 which interrupts their smoothness

These issues and especially the ones Tiki mention all add up to make the rounded bricks a pretty inconsistent experience compared to the rest of the bricks in sevo, which is a real shame as they're a fantastic shape

Made a quick mockup of Tiki's shape suggestion for fun, it's a bit weird in terms of how it'd work ingame, but cool looking image image To get the hollow part in the middle looking good, it'd have have a base size of 0.5m radius even at 1/8th scale
