[Survival] Crash when closing the game #5905

Short Description of the issue:

I've had a couple crashes in survival recently, likely from different causes.

This one happened when I pressed ESC and chose "Exit to Desktop". That button acknowledges the click but is otherwise unresponsive. The game itself isn't frozen, it continues to run, and ESC toggles the ESC menu.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Aside from ESC and "Exit to Desktop", I'm not yet sure what triggered it other than just playing the game with a survival mind set.

@asanagisae Hi, sorry for the late reply, did you got this often again? It seems it is terrain related, if you can send me your character save file so I can try to reproduce. Thanks

It has always been a rare occurrence, and it never happens for two sessions in a row. That is, if I open the world again immediately after such a crash, the crash does not reproduce.

I haven't played in a survival world in the past few weeks, and I haven't seen similar crashes recently.

The best course of action may be to add more diagnostic data to the crash report, close this particular issue for now, and wait for it to occur again.
