@Benjermann Hi, 1) setting min/max on hinge, yes I agree this is something I wanted to do, but it highly problematic to migrate current people build to the new format. It would takes time and likely break some blueprint 2) Turret: yes this is something I want to tackle, the current system is too complex and too bug prone. Giving min/max setting on the two axis is easier, it is on my to-do list for a while 3) Also on my to-do list is a gate allowing to push change to a system / computer setting. 4) Please report any other sfx that needs tweaking. I will tweak the vents 5) Sorry I likely wont do this... (dev time, added complexity, too niche of a use)
Thanks!
Here are some things (mostly QOL) that don't feel like they'd be too complicated to implement, but would do a great deal to make the building experience less painful:
-Allow for restrictions on how far a hinge or rotator can move, sort of like how the piston is set up (KSP has a system like this for its robotics, and it's endlessly helpful) Yes i know the sequencer is a thing. I don't like it and i feel like it should either be upgraded to have more functionality (allowing for multiples kinds of ranges, travel time adjustments, etc) or have it's functions integrated into the current moving parts
-at the very least, if the suggestion above isn't viable, allow for manual limit setting on turret rotors/hinges. This would prevent them getting stuck as much as they do.
-On the topic of turrets: manually being able to limit their range would be nice as well. The current system of limiting their fire by size is nice, but having as much control over my guns as possible would definitely be cool as well.
-Turret Targeting modes should be toggleable while controlling the ship, imo. not sure how that would be implemented, but It'd be good to have the ability to switch that on the fly.
-Decrease sound effects volume (can't use vents for details because they're too loud when you place more than like 3 of them, can't have too many moving parts without creating an audio nightmare, etc)
-Allow for turret computers (and possibly other logic gates) to be linked to each other such that their settings can be changed together, rather than 1 by 1.
