[New build - DEFAULT] 24w40a: Player Equipment Loadout and Helmets #6019

This build adds a player equipment loadout system. Place helmet and backpack module into their respective slots to gain some perks.

Module would give access to various perks:

For now we only have a jetpack and storage module as I have been focusing on the tech.

To be added:

Is the build suppose to be on the default branch? I was only able to access it through the experimental branch.

Anyways cool update! Since the equipment shows up on the character model we need a way to customize our suits like adding color and maybe some decals. An Appearance terminal should do the trick or perhaps a appearance kiosk type. that way we can customize the terminal itself.

Some equipment Ideas:

X-ray Helmet- Gives the player a toggleable mode that allows them to see through hull blocks and highlights special system blocks like reactors, thrusters, tanks, ect.

Mag-lock boots- Gives a toggleable jetpack mode that makes the player stick to any metal surface. really useful in zero-g.

Sprint Booster (Backpack)- Increases sprint speed

Blaster (Multi-tool)- Adds a weapon that works similarly to the laser. Basic anti-personnel weapon.

Personally I'm torn on having a multi-tool slot. Since we have handhelds I always though that the Idea is that we only use the multi-tool when we start out. you know, like a basic survival tool. And as we progress we eventually stop using the multi-tool in favor of handhelds since they can be designed with better stronger versions of the multi-tool tools. Having upgradable multi-tools kind of undermines handhelds. I would personally rather swap the multi-tool slot for a space suit slot. that way we have a main defensive item which can also effect environmental resistances like hot, cold, radiation, etc.

On the topic of equipment slots. I think additional equipment slots should awarded for reaching certain milestones like ranking up in certain factions or completing a hand crafted questline.

ya, or maybe rather then multi tool slot chip, some kind of generic handheld enhancement chip, like extra efficiency or etc...

Yes, really nice

Energy modul: Level 1: all beam are not strong or have a short shot intervall. Jetpack are not strong or have a short thrust intervall. Same for new energy users. Level 2:all better ... Could be possible that we could use a energy modul for small entity to give it engery (small hover vehicle)

Scan modul: Level 1: small scan range, small teleport range Level2:more range Special moduls: Deep scan, enemy scan, logic scan(show logic bricks from entity),...

Suits: Heat restist suit, frost restist suit, critical atmophere restist suit, fight suit, stealth suit

Lifing system modul: for more breath time.

Place for special moduls: Invisible addon, translator addon, healing system addon. Stealth addon, coffee machine.

Helmet: zoom, night view, map hologram,

Also the mechs raising their legs up issue has largely been fixed. It never quite goes back to the idle pose but thats why I want a toggle in the mech computer to force the mech to return to the idle pose upon leaving the controls
