I noticed it on 2024 July 28 when finishing a larger hovercraft. My previous 2 recent builds were quite small, so maybe the problem was present but not noticable. I was away for a long while. I know I didn't have this bug in 2021 :P
A week ago I changed my old PC to a completely new one but the problem is the same. Both systems use AMD cards.
You can try to see if it happens for you as well. This is that hovercraft. Hovercraft Computer is visible inside on the rear wall.

Short Description of the issue:
After a vehicle computer is opened by the player (either mech/ starship/ hovercraft), a permanent FPS drop happens until the game is restarted.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Open the vehicle computer of any vehicle. Try with increasingly complex vehicles.
Environment
Additional information:
Severity of FPS loss dependant on vehicle complexity (Ex, from 60 to 16 on a mech that is 9 meters tall, and is made of 5500 bricks, 1500 stickers and 71 entities). Opening a simple vehicle's computer restores FPS but system load remains high until quitting the game. Would have reported sooner but wanted to see it on an up-to date PC first.
