Hi there,
tbh I don't really see a need for this one. If you don't want your LC thrusters on all the time, just link them to a button/ switch so you can de/activate them when landing. You can even set up some logic to detect if the ship is piloted to switch them on/off automaticly when you enter the ship controls.
And why would you have them on your ship if you won't use them while/for flying? They provide thrust as well, actually a good amount.
@BigBadKangaroo fuel preservation, the idea came to me when i was trying to build a strictly battery+solar snub with the ability to use lightcruise, the only way to prevent the lightcruise sipping the fuel is to turn it off, do they provide forward thrust? Yes, but also compared to normal thrusters they need said fuel which is limited on that snub idea
this logic gate should activate when a ship fails to enter lightcruise, it does not matter if it has engines or not, the same for warp, the main reason why i would personally want this is to have automatic on demand turn on lightcruise engines. right now lightcruise engines sip fuel even if doing nothing, this could help give us a more automatic way to have them turn on only when needed by listening for this event gate trigger, rather then having to manually press a button and have to use up valuable hotbar slot would be imo also nice for warp functionality
