currently the flight controls can be finnicky, imo it would make sense to take a page from two other games star citizen's speed limiter: scroll to limit max speed space engineer's selection of coupled and decoupled modes: if player is not targetting anything pressing the decouple button would make it run decoupled, if pressed when targetting something it would keep it's relative position to the target, the same as the auto mode from space engineers TL:DR decoupled mode relative decoupled mode if a target is selected max speed limiter based on scrolling with mouse

I'll always be in favour of throttle control keys while flying, even Starfield with its arcadey flight system makes great use of them

didn't touch starfield but ya , throttle controls are sorely lacking in this game
