User feedback: I have downloaded Dynamo for Rebar and tested it in Revit 2016 with Dynamo 0.8.2. Still figuring out why this is not working. Based on the blog post, the select surface has a different Element ID than Host Element… This is what I don’t get it.

Surfaces do have a different ElementId, they might be part of the host Element but they are still different elements. Otherwise we would not be able to distinguish between the surfaces.
