Hi JJCorley, yes, I can do that. However, getting quality transcription is going to be a pain, especially with 多音字 (believe me, I've tried with Pinyin).
If you're willing to submit a table of common mistakes, I can update the database build process. Better yet, if you can recommend a transcription dictionary (if possible, a characters dictionary 字典 and a words 词典) that I can legally use for cantonese, I could integrate it directly.
Yours sincerely,
Thomas
Will be fixed with Cantonese-CEDICT dictionary support.
This is both a "bug" and a suggestion:
The Cantonese jyutping is often wrong, sometimes for VERY common characters (可 should be "ho2" not "hak1" as the most common example.) I realize you are simply using an existing database, but would it be possible to add an "override transcription" table in the edit behavior file so that we can easily override common bad transcriptions? This would be quite handy vs. having to manually edit them in every card we create.
