ttencate / taekwindow

Taekwindow is a simple, lightweight and free Windows program that allows you to move and resize windows by dragging them with the Alt key, similar to many X11 window managers.

Hasn't been developed in a while and looking for alternatives #115

Are there any alternatives to this. That will possibly also allow auto-resizing of adjacent windows?

It's true, I haven't released any updates in... 10 years?! I'm barely using Windows anymore except for full-screen applications (games), so there's no longer an itch for me to scratch.

I'm not aware of any alternatives, but if you find any, I'd love to know.

Just downloaded it, started it and it STILL works! (Windows 10) What a neat little piece of software that is. I don't need an alternative at all :) (well, if it would also work with the WIN-key instead of an ALT-key, that would be even a little bit nicer, but beggars can't be choosers)

Nice work @ttencate! After all those years it's still functional!

@abecede753 Thank Microsoft for their excellent backwards compatibility between Windows versions! See #57 for the Windows key... the request makes total sense, but it was tricky to implement (forgive me for not remembering the details).

I have looked for similar softwares for a while and came to the conclusion AltDrag was the best. Other alternatives can be found here: https://stefansundin.github.io/altdrag/doc/other-programs.html

I myself made a fork of AltDrag here, because the original was not maintained since 2015 and is very buggy under Win8/10: https://github.com/RamonUnch/AltDrag/releases/ It is extensively tested under Win8.x/10 but remains compatibles with older windows versions.
