GriP not properly marking messages as read ... possible compatibility issues with MultiExchange #506

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Receive email notification
2. Tap message notification to open modal table
3. Read message

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The expected outcome
is that the message will be marked as read. Instead, the message is only
partially marked as read. Here's what I mean: The mail app badge
indicates an unread message; Opening the mail app and viewing the list of
mail accounts indicates an unread message. Viewing the applicable mail
account indicates that there is no unread message. A respring is necessary
to eliminate the false badge, etc.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system
(iPhone/iPod Touch? Firmware version?)? iPhone 3Gs, 3.1.2.

Please provide any additional information below.
I am using MultiExchange for multiple gmail push accounts, and so far as I
can tell, the problem only exists for those accounts, and probably only
about 70% of the time (it occasionally seems to work correctly).

Well, the problem began happening even when not using GriP. In other words, if
I got
an email and just ignored GriP, then opened one of the exchange accounts and
read the
email, the badge would not be updated. The bottom line is that I think the
problem
is with MultiExchange and not with GriP.
