wildcards in personally-created / modified filters do not work #164

When creating & modifying filters, AdThwart does not appear to work with the 
Adblock filter does not work.
For example, the following do not work:
http://adstation.arcamax.com/*
http://adstation.arcamax.com/*
http://adstation.arcamax.com/oc/74/7496/*
http://adstation.arcamax.com/oc/74/7/*
http://adstation.arcamax.com/oc/74/*
http://adstation.arcamax.com/oc/*

Only this does:
http://adstation.arcamax.com/oc/74/7496/7496_10.jpg

I am using AdThwart Version 0.9.20 in Chrome 5.0.375.70 beta

In AdThwart Options, all four "General" options are checked:
Show icon in address bar
Disable inline text ads
Block ads inside YouTube videos (does not work with the FlashBlock extension)
Experimental: Block some ads before they load

Thanks for reporting this. Can you supply a URL where ads matching these 
filters are not blocked? This will make it much easier to figure out what is 
going on here.

They appear to blocked correctly on:
http://www.arcamax.com/nonsequitur
but are not blocked in the email subscription.

Thanks, this does help. A couple more questions:

Are you using Gmail by any chance?

Can you try deselecting all the filter lists? The Fanboy lists especially are 
known to be problematic with AdThwart.

I am using gmail; if i deselect all the extra filters, it still does not

I've found that if I use the current version of gmail, it has issues, if I use 
the older version, I have fewer issues; it usually works fine with 
https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=1
