Open mikini opened 7 years ago
Esbjerg community is now a github repository and invite sent to @mikini to join denmark and esjberg: to get his smiling head on the teams lists of github :)
It is now important to help mikini to obtain traction in esbjerg
Esbjerg County Council probably has an Innovation Department to allow for growth within tech and the usage of tech. that gives some meaning. That is where one starts a thing.
A very quick google gave this: http://dinsundhed.esbjergkommune.dk/om-sundhed/politikker-og-handleplaner/strategi-for-velfaerdsteknologi.aspx This may not be the best start, but it is a start in the area of health.

Esbjerg is still not on https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/country/denmark/
I have joined https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/community/esbjerg/ so that the necessary 8 members are possible
I'm trying to establish someTTN in Esbjerg.
Have already registered a community at TTN; https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/community/Esbjerg/
I'm active in the local makerspace called GeekLabs where I can probably summon other interested folks. In the lab we already have internet access for LoRaWAN<->internet gateway functinality, and the location is ideal for coverage of the central parts of Esbjerg. However, we probably need the building owner's (which is Esbjerg Kommune) permission to install antennas on the roof. Have a feeling that might prove to be non-trivial.
I have also contacted the almost local (Egtved) company IMPC Solutions (broken Joomla site and they don't care, try LinkedIn) who seems to be developing LoRaWAN hardware and asked whether they would be willing to sponsor or cooperate somehow. Haven't heard anything back yet.
