Open GitJinkyu opened 1 year ago

Hold the mouse over the image and press the left shift button

Processed for a few seconds. by the way

Nothing has changed since then.

Where can I check the OCR files?

Do you still have a problem figuring out how OCR works?

Ariste81 commented 1 year ago

Yes I do. It doesn't work

Yes I do. It doesn't work

It does work try to show us some screenshots of your settings, you have to select the language of the OCR, and it will download the data for recognition, and you have to set up the Hotkey to trigger the OCR feature (it can be set to none but that will try to detect all images which is not recommended as it will slow down your machine…

I selected the language of OCR but it doesn't start any download

It does work for me. you need to select the language of the OCR, The default Hotkey that triggers the OCR feature is [left shift] you need to keep it pressed until you see that the words in the images are highlighted. this may take few seconds and during that time you need to keep the shift key pressed. if nothing happens you need to, while keeping the shift key pressed, slightly move the mouse (this is a windows problem, more that the extension problems), and the blue circle telling that something's happening or the highlighting should appear right away. If nothing works you need to try to change the Hotkey that triggers the OCR feature

if nothing works tell us the browser and version you are using maybe?

an example picture could be https://www.adda247.com/school/trees-name/ or this one https://regardsurlefrancais.files.wordpress.com/2016/05/les-arbres-en-francais.png

if the destination language is the same as that in the picture then nothing happens.

How is this topic that you wrote in the line "If nothing works you need to try to change the Hotkey that triggers the OCR feature" going to solve the problem? I was just curious

In my browser sometimes hotkeys do not work for some reason, for example because used by some other addon or because locked by some other software. If that's the case whatever you try will never work.
