Question: what is the option 'Writing Language' for?

Thanks

Enlight432 commented 10 months ago

writing language is language "translate writing hotkey", for example, if it is on English and I type Farsi, it will be converted to English by pressing this hotkey.

Thank you. I think I have understood now, but then it's not working.

Writing language: English Translate Writing Hotkey: Ctrl Right In the URL box I type 'parler de quelque chose' and I select that text and I press Ctrl Right and nothing happens, despite the fact that I checked that the 'Ctrl Right' key should be working.

It doesn't work for me in the url too, but it works in all other inputs For example, instead of url, you can directly search in Google : www.google.com

It would be great if this feature could be added to the url ****

Thank you again. Now is more clear somehow I overlooked the example in https://github.com/ttop32/MouseTooltipTranslator/blob/main/doc/intro.md#how-to-use where it's written 'Use right alt to translate writing text (or highlighted text) in input box. (Do undo, press ctrl +z)'

So indeed, it works for me to.

Maybe they couldn't and they introduced the workaround at the next example where it's written 'Translate url search box text by /+space before typing.' ?

This one I'm not able to make it working. While I have other shortcuts that are working for other search engines, like typing gg+space and the url starts searching using the google search engine, still the shortcut / + space doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something here too?

Oh, when I said that you cannot do this in the url box, this feature did not exist, it was recently added (thanks to the developer)

It works for me Perhaps the extension has not been automatically updated yet for you? Because it was added in the last two or three days step 1 : chrome://extensions/ step 2 : Developer mode step 3 : Update

Indeed, after update it works. Thank you.
