Can we continue using the app after Feb 15, 2024 for Confluence Server? #13

Hi Support,

This is Anita from Extremedata system inc. a platinum partner in Taiwan. One of our customers has been using your app right now and they use Confluence Server which is no longer available on Feb 15, 2024. Therefore, we would like to check with you:

  1. Can our customers continue using the app after Feb 15, 2024 in their Confluence Server environment?
  2. If yes, do they need to update a new license key? Could you provide the license key which can work after Feb 15, 2024 for Confluence Server?

App name : Space Permissions Handler for Confluence App version : 2.2 Confluence Server version : 7.13.2

Hi Anita,

Sorry for my late reply.

1) Please describe how the Confluence Server is no longer available on 15th of February 2024. How does it affect their usage of Confluence Server after that date? I will not prevent you or your customer to use this plugin in your instances unless Atlassian has some other ideas.

2) Have they used some license key now? Does it have a end date set for that date?

Hi Ttorvela,

Confluence server is End of life after 2/15/2024. Atlassian said we can continue using the Confluence.
The app (Space Permissions Handler for Confluence) that our customer has installed is without license. We just want to check if your app can continue using after 2/15/2024?

Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, software distributed under the License is distributed on an "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied. See the License for the specific language governing permissions and limitations under the License.

I have no plans to migrate the plugin to Confluence Datacenter. Also I cannot provide any support for the plug-in as Confluence Server support ends on 15 February 2024. If the plugin continues to work after that date, I will not prevent users to continue using the plug-in but they should carefully read the risks mentioned by Atlassian if continuing to use not supported Confluence Server installation.
