Hi. I have nvAlt Version 2.2b (111) installed on two machines, an iMac and a MBP, both running El Capitan. Right after installing the new OS X, I noticed nvAlt displayed typed characters very slowly (imagine a 10-baud modem) on both machines. Pasting large buffers into nvAlt is fast, as usual; this slowness appears to be restricted to feedback to the screen from typing. Let me know how else I may help you characterize this behavior.

Qualification: I see this behavior only with large files (in one case, ~23K words = 187 KB).

hi, same here. i am using OS X 10.11 on MacBook air, and when a document becomes larger than 3000 words, not even 23k words, typing characters in nvAlt becomes very slowly. it is a bit annoying. best
