If notes could be sorted by creation date, could be a great journaling app. Maybe this is a different issue ; I just imported text files created in another journaling app and the date of the file in nvalt is now the import date.

View Menu>>Sort By>>Date Added Sounds like the journaling app you exported from just gave them all the same created date
