Bookmarks not working/disabled #439

I just got a new computer and installed nvAlt on it. I've tried deleting and reinstalling several times, but nvAlt's bookmarks does not work for me. As you can see from the screenshot, Bookmarks menu has no commands. Keyboard shortcuts to create bookmarks do not work.

I tried installing on another computer and it loads fine, which makes me think there is a corrupted file on my specific computer. I've tried deleting and rebuilding ~/Library/Application Support/nvAlt/ to no avail. Any other suggestions on how to fix?

It would likely be the Notes & Settings file in your notes storage folder, or the actual preference file at ~/Library/Preferences/net.elasticthreads.nv.plist

Thank you, thank you, thank you. That fixed it. I made a small donation just now, but beyond that I just wanna say that nvAlt has been my go-to task management system for years. You do incredible work! Jay P.S. Not to get greedy, but while I have you--I have a regular monthly reminder to check for Bitwriter. Any updates on that? I experienced the same problem in nvALT 2.2.8, along with some other symptoms of the app being in a bad state. Removing Notes & Settings did not help, but removing ~/Library/Preferences/net.elasticthreads.nv.plist did. Thanks!
