Sync with Simplenote not working after upgrade to MacOS 10.14 Mojave #548

I am currently running nvALT Version 2.2.8 (128) MacOS Mojave 10.14.1 (18B75). Sync with Simplenote is no longer working. It worked fine with MacOS High Sierra 10.13.

The Simplenote login in nvALT's preferences has the green jewel, indicating that the SimpleNote credentials are correct. I tried deleting and re-adding the Simplenote login info, but that didn't fix it. I also tried various combinations of restarting the app while changing the "check for remote changes" frequency and checking and unchecking the "synchronize" checkbox.

I just became aware of the Simplenote API change ... perhaps my upgrade to Mojave was just coincidental timing.

Legacy Simplenote API

Some older applications may still be using the legacy Simplenote API at https://simple-note.appspot.com. Note that this API has been deprecated and will no longer function after October 1, 2018.

Simplenote sync is still not working for me and I'm still on 10.11. I also guess it's the API change.
