There could also be a batch function to import online images and store them locally, retroactively.
This would do so much to make NVAlt a reasonable replacement for Evernote. Keeping the original formatting of a website is not usually important. But hanging on to images from the content area is usually important.
I don't know how to code desktop apps unfortunately.
