nvALT2.2 – tagging seems to interfere with other tagging software #79

nvALT is a most brilliant piece of software!

Sorry, I am not a technician. But I realized, that if you tag txt-files with nvALT, they don’t show up in spotlight search (e. g.: tag:tagname).

If you tag txt-files with other software (e. g. tagger), the tags work fine but disappear after opening the files in nvALT (without re-tagging!)—yet, the tags still seem to be somewhere, because they can still be found via spotlight.

By the way: Tags in a different than the nvALT folder never disappear.

I am really confused.

What version of nvALT are you on, and are your files stored on Dropbox?

If so, what version of the Dropbox client are you using?

Is your Dropbox folder indexed by Spotlight?

I'm unable to reproduce using nvALT 2.2b in a Dropbox folder with plain text files.
