SimpleNote Syncing Bug #88

There is a bug when using nvALT and synchronizing with SimpleNote. I discovered it while using the SimpleNote iPad client and SimpleNote's tech support tracked it down to the fact that I had nvALT open on my laptop.

It appears there's a bug in nvALT where, after the first time it retrieves a note from SN that was created on another client, it will on the next sync cycle, update the note with the exact same contents that it pulled in the first sync.

From the users perspective when nvALT is running:

  1. Create a note (in the SimpleNote iPad/iPhone client) with some contents X
  2. nvALT pulls this note
  3. Modify note so contents are now Y
  4. nvALT, 1 minute later (or whatever sync window is set to), updates note contents back to X
  5. User's Y changes appear to disappear (in the SimpleNote iPad/iPhone client).

This happens on nvALT 2.1 and I just verified that it still happens on nvALT 2.2b (94) as well.
