There is an considerable amount of horizontal bar section area is available at the bottom, after the columns and with in the board, as can be seen in the below image :
This area can be used as a Status bar sort of, where i can show some important information like, upcoming task in bla bla time, total tasks for today, total pending tasks, total due tasks, etc.
Also if the user is not using the DayPlanner plugin, then i can also show the progress bar as shown by that plugin when task starts till task ends.
