An interesting start to today's NYT Hard:

I got a few numbers filled in, and many Snyder pairs, but then had to fill in all the candidates to make progress. It was then that I saw the 149 naked triple in box 9. This means that the 4 in row 8 must be in column 8!

That's all we need—the rest of the puzzle is straightforward from there. What a great trick!
