Team Conclusion/Retrospective:

• Overall, we think that the project went well generally after a bit
• We had a very rough start with getting everyone working accordingly and equally and with our initial Ideation
• Got everyone to contribute eventually
• We feel confident in the product and its range of binary topics covered in the end
• Most games could involve more creativity since their mostly just simple interactive demonstrations of how various aspects of binary work
  • Crossover feedback partially suggesting more complexity in project
  • Possibly other binary aspects like logic gates could be included
• Too many instructions possibly too: too many words to read for most games
• Main issue was collaboration, we have to communicate more and pursue Agile techniques to be able to create a consistently developed project

Original Plan:

Binary Tutorial

• If the goal is to teach binary this would be good
• Maybe involve a small amount of bits to illustrate how binary is utilized and works
• Toggleable buttons between 0 and 1
• Randomized number to convert to binary?
• Decimal conversion
• Mathematical demonstration of each digit
• Maybe other features that add complexity
• Hex included?

Binary Color Game

• Something involving binary color inversion
• Utilize hexadecimal
• Rows of toggleable switches between 0 and 1
• Default: 0
• Color wheel to illustrate changes

Forms of Practice and Learning; Other Features Format of website Learn basics → then play a game or interact with another feature to practice that Ex: we could have a binary grid game to practice the basic decimal conversion Hexadecimal basics like the home page tutorial (Binary Tutorial) but with hexadecimal → lets user have knowledge in order to play the Color Game

Accomplishments:

• Tanuj: I learned how to thoroughly code in HTML and use it to display toggleable buttons and grids. I also learned how to make functions for reloading a page and many others.
• Tucker: I learned a lot about how to generally format things like togglable buttons and UI design in relation to pursuing actual functions tied to those. I actually learned a lot of binary in this project, though. I see major improvement in terms of understanding different forms of binary conversion, compared to before working on this project.
• Alara: I learned how to use Hexadecimal and integrated it into a game. Another things was iteration to check for right answers.
• Monika: I learned how to read Binary and also worked on a score tracker. It allowed me to learn how to make something that tracked score across the website.

Data Abstractions were used within the 5x5 game especially: It was tough to link the goal values too the outputted values. It took some time to work through and integrate the submit and redo buttons.
