Garbage collect less frequently #47

With a laptop with more storage, I no longer need to garbage collect nightly. Portability and the ability to work offline is preferred.

It would also be nice if some programs could be cached on the system during rebuilds, or on a set interval. Maybe I can add them to system roots?
