Forgery #19

A player should be able to forge credentials for specific Frames. You can find credential files inside those corporations frames (and much more rarely, Frame#level% chance of ones belonging to one of their rivals). Trying to forge a credential without a reference gives a -4 penalty. Having a high quality credential gives it a +4 bonus.

Creating a credential is a Haven task #18, it takes Frame#level hours (progress is always shown in percentage to player) . Credential sizes are 3*Frame#level/20.

You can always try to upgrade a credential as a new project. At the end, you'll be notified if no progress was made or the total amount of progress made (as DC difference).

Once a roll is made, this is the quality level of your credential. ICE and system admins run their own Forgery checks against this DC. In extreme cases the test to identify the credential receives a +4 bonus (in a Gate node, for example).

A failed credential check still lets you roll Computer Use (or Bluff, whichever is higher) against their Sense Motive.

A player should be able to decide between rolling, taking 10 or taking 20. Also, creating a new forgery without discarding your previous one should be doable (upgrade).

A forgery is still valid even after identified - the same way a fake ID will still be useful even after someone catches you using it. There isn't a way to blacklist them (to prevent micro-management).
