Maybe it would even be possible to include some kind of auto-eq with
app-assisted drc measurement? Should be fairly simple to implement. Sonos
recently added this.
Of course Smartphone mics are not ideal for this kind of thing, but it might be
enough for a basic setup that the user could then manually fine-tune.

Adding an EQ to the Chromecast Audio would make it appealing to the wider
audience and also audiophiles.

feature to audiophiles...looking forward for this feature :)

Lack of audio control like equalizer option on chromecast audio stop me buying
the device. i rather stick to stream music via bluetooth that gives me lots of
audio controls. Unless Chromecast Audio will update their firmware and add this
option and this will definitely make me buy one.

This function would greatly improve an already fantastic device. I own 5 of
these that are currently being used in a distributed audio system and in would
be super helpful in making my system extraordinary. I would think and 8 band eq
would be a great addition.

Yes please! the only way I can achieve with Spotify is by dedicating my phone
and using the integrated EQ and it has its own issues, it would be great to
have an EQ available in the chromecast audio app/settings. My amplifier uses
the optical input and I don't have any analog controls.

Chromecast, great device, but desperately needs and EQ feature. Those that use
basic amps connected directly to speakers would love this feature. Google
promotes Chromecast Audio a way to upgrade a system to WIFI, but most old
systems have no EQ on their Aux inputs. Please google implement EQ ability :)

Using Chromecast audio with some high end active speakers/monitors. Lack of an
eq is limiting considering some content isn't always very well balanced.

An device centric EQ would be great. Bluetooth connection currently got an
advantage here over Chromecast Audio. Lots of app got EQ's as said above
already. I'd love to see such feature to adjust a multi room setting with mixed
up speakers. Some presets (e.g. enhancer, Bass, Rock, Jazz, ...) here would be
perfect.

Please add EQ function. I'm in desperate need of a Loudness function to boost
bass at low volume.
Thanks!

Yes and yes again. An equalizer is an absolute must for me. While I understand
there´s no need of heavy EQing your musiv when on high-quality headphones, it
is absolutely essential when you´re listnenig to all kinds of speakers. Plus
when there´s been so much differnce in music mixing and overall quality in the
music industry over the decades. Plus you sometimes listen to music, other
times to podcasts, in the evnings...etc. There are many different scenarios. If
you re losing your hearing as you grow older, you naturally gravitate towards
brighter sounding stuff.
