Pause in play Pixar Short Films Collection II at 16:25 when Chromecasted #97

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Chromecast Pixar Short Films Collection, Vol. 2
2. Once the video hits 16:25, the video freezes, but the audio track continues.
3. Manually advanced to 16:32 and the program continues without issue after
that.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Video should play through without freezing. Also freezes at 16:25 when
chromecasted. Tried this from two Nexus 7 (2013) devices and two HTC One cell
phones.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Newest Chromecast device.

Please provide any additional information below.

Can replicate every time on my Chromecast device. I don't have access to
another to test if it's the video or my Chromecast device.

It is not clear how you are casting that movie. In addition, we've just
released a major update to the Google Cast SDK and will be closing your issue.

Take a look at http://googledevelopers.blogspot.com/ for more information.

I'm unsure why you say "it is not clear how you are casting that movie". The
only missing piece of the equation I failed to add is that I purchased that
movie from Google Play. I have tried casting it from 2 different 2013 Nexus 7
devices and from two different HTC One cell phones. The movie plays fine on
the devices themselves, it only pauses the video when casted to my television
with the Chromecast plugged into it. No other casted shows are affected.

Please look further into this issue as it is still occuring, even after your
new Google Cast SDK update.

If you are stating that this is happening when you use the Play Movies app,
then open a bug with that application and not against the SDK.

Well, the movie plays fine from the app directly, it's only when it is casted
that the problem occurs. Please point me to the appropriate place to post this.

Open the Play Movies and go to settings and send a feedback or click on Help.
