[REQUEST] Continue PR #523 (Incorporating LAS Reader into solution) #577

This issue continues issue #503 and pull request #523

I started implementing LAS in pull request #523. However, upon incorporating libLAS into the solution generation process of the OIP started to crash:

In pull request #523, there are some ideas, as to why it happens.
