Due to some widespread vandalism on OSM quite a few tiles were poisened. I deleted all cache tiles by hand from ~/.cache/gpxsee/tiles.

It would be great to add functionality accessible through Settings > Options to delete the cache tiles.

It's already there - in the Map menu.
