Font rendering on Windows XP is blurry #235

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install witty on Windows XP SP3
2. Configure Windows XP to use anti-aliased font rendering
3. Open witty

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect the fonts to render crisp and properly like my other
applications using anti-aliased fonts.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest witty build, .NET 3.5, Windows XP SP3

Please provide any additional information below.

Unfortunately it's difficult to tell from the attached image that the text is
fuzzy,
but it definitely it not rendering correctly.

This is the case on my XP box as well. I use the Aero theme on the latest
unstable to
mitigate the issue, but it's still quite apparent that fonts are blurry. Can the
option be provided to control font size, as I hear WPF apps all suffer a common
flaw
with the font rendering below a certain size (11, I believe)?
