VS 2022 officially launched today. Will this be getting an update? I'd really appreciate it!

I'd like that. I think it would be a similar level of learning experience for any of the three of us here, possibly Sam as well (haven't asked him).

With source link becoming more popular (or just me using it more) it would be REALLY great to see this updated for 2022.

note the PR does work for VS2022 been using it happily for a year now.
